Sandra Nash, B Mus (Sydney), Dalcroze Lic.(London), Dip Sup.(Geneva), is a leading authority in Dalcroze Eurhythmics. She has taught music for over twenty years including three years on the faculty of Laval University, Quebec City. She has been Director of Music at two leading schools in Sydney. In 1994 she founded the Dalcroze International Summer School in Australia and has given workshops in Sydney, Toowoomba Qld, Adelaide, as well as the USA, UK, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and Switzerland.
Sandra is a part-time lecturer in Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where she is also undertaking doctoral studies. She teaches piano and eurhythmics, and is coordinator of Conservatorium's Junior Academy, an instrumental program for children aged 5 - 12 years. She is the Australian delegate to FIER (Federation International des Enseignants de Rythmique) and in 2003 became a member of the College of the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva.
Currently she is president of the Dalcroze Society of NSW and along with other Australian colleagues, she gives courses for Dalcroze Teacher Development and works to promote Dalcroze in Australia. She is often invited to give workshops for piano and string teachers, early childhood teachers and performers. She has also given workshops at the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze, Geneva and has been a jury member for Dalcroze Certificate, Licentiate and Diploma examinations. Sandra is also a freelance teacher of piano and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
